    The Mineral Policy Institute aims to promote public debate and facilitate change in the regulation and behaviour of the mining industry. MPI produces well researched information about the impacts of the mining industry. See the index of our reports and media releases below.
    Releases
    Media releases are a valuable means to expose a mining company which is doing damage to the environment or infringing community rights. By making such releases, MPI aims to generate informed public debate about appropriate mining industry activity. The table below is an index of MPI media releases, each linked to the full text of the release. Some releases are made in conjunction with partner organisations.

    "; print "Media Release Headline
    Click headline to read release"; print "Pub. date"; $numOfRows = pg_numrows ($result); for ($i = 0; $i < $numOfRows; $i++){ if ($i % 2) { $color ="#99ccff"; } else{ $color ="#cccccc"; } $title = pg_result ($result, $i, "headline"); $pubdate = pg_result ($result, $i, "published"); $file = pg_result ($result, $i, "id"); echo "$title "; print date("M d, Y", $pubdate); echo ""; } print ""; } else{ //print ""; echo pg_errormessage().": ".pg_errormessage()."
